I'm Brian Geppert and I'm a talented software developer with five years of experience in both professional and personal settings. I am passionate about what I do and I take the quality of what I produce very seriously. I have experience with many different languages, environments and development tools. I enjoy learning new technologies and methods.
My taste is rather eclectic. My favorite programming languages are C and Ruby, and my favorite frameworks for them are GTK+/Glib and Rails, respectively. I work and play on both GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows. I'm interested in all areas of programming, from operating systems to networking, from the desktop to the web.
A project I'm currently working on is hooking a microcontroller up to my apartment's lighting and programming it to respond both to network requests and motion detector input. Two of my previous projects were a web-based personal music library and player (built with Ruby/Rails, Linux/MySQL and Flash/Flex) and a command-line AIM client.
